The Real Answer - Grasshopper

My experience is lots of folks don’t want the real answer, so they don’t ask the question.

The fear of what the answer will be often interferes with asking the question.

Young men and those who were once young men can relate. Imagine you’re at a middle school dance and want to ask a specific girl to dance. But you’re afraid her answer will be “no,” so you don’t ask.

Your odds were 50-50 if you did ask, but the odds didn’t overcome the fear of what the real answer would be.

I learned this a long time ago: You can ask anything of anybody if you’re not invested in what their answer has to be.

The real answer is blocked by fear. By not asking, you remain in Limbo, which is another way of saying you remain in an endless debate in your head.

Getting the real answer puts the spotlight on the actual outcome; not asking, keeps you wondering.

When you get an authentic answer, you can then plot your course. Not asking keeps you in a mental traffic jam.

Far be it from me to quote the Bible, but I believe this is in there: “Ask and you shall receive.”  And what will you receive? The Real Answer.

All the best,

John
