The Clues Are Always There - Grasshopper

Life is a mystery, but the clues are always present.

The sad reality is we notice many of them too late. We either ignored them, didn’t notice them, blocked them out, or saw them, but just didn’t want them to be true.

This happens all the time in relationships of all kinds.  If you look back on ones that didn’t work out, the clues will now stand out.

When we were in them, a blind eye, a deaf ear, or a gut reaction we would override, we were oblivious to the clues.

We have so much foresight when it comes to hindsight. So, what do you do before this happens to you? Get a clue!

Start paying attention to the people in your life, especially the ones that matter most. Be with them when you’re in conversation. Don’t just politely listen, hear them loud and clear. Make an effort to see what they see, or feel what they feel, and put your relating on a more even keel.

I may be wrong about this, but I don’t believe any relationship is 50-50. There’s always one who’s invested a little bit or a lot more. If that’s you, you have work to do.

Make more time for them. Find out their hopes, dreams, and aspirations. It’s a major step towards preventing a separation.

If you’re the one left behind, there’s not much you can do now, except take this information forward in the event you dive in again. This time you’ll pay more attention to the clues and have more of a sense of what to do.

All the best,

John
