How To Condition The Air Around You - Grasshopper

My air conditioning went out during the hottest weekend of the year. I’m not looking for sympathy; I’m more interested in the conditioning we put out there for consumption.

We’ve all been conditioned. That’s how our habits and attitudes are formed. We advertise our conditioning to anyone willing to pay attention and we pass it on to impressionable minds.

We mindlessly do this just by being “us.” To condition the air around you more productively, you first have to recognize the air you’re putting out. That means to recognize what we’re advertising.

The next step is to put out something different, especially if what you’re currently expelling is hot air.

You condition the air around you by setting an example - one that you would follow.

My grandmother had a saying that illustrated what most of us do. She would say, “Don’t do as I do, do as I say.” That never works. We do the “do-do” - EW!

For the air to change, we have to change what we do. When we condition the air around us, we not only set a better example, we get even more comfortable in our own skin.

Wanna be cooler? Turn on your air conditioning.

All the best,
John
