Life Is In You, Not Something You Pursue - Grasshopper
Improving your life is an inside out proposition, not the other way around.
We have been conditioned that we’re not enough and therefore have to add to ourselves. That’s Bass Ackwards.
We’re always enough; we just don’t think so.
When we recognize our “enough-ness,” life starts to get simpler. Things that we were pursuing then seem to pursue us, simply because we feel more deserving and invite them in, rather than chasing after them.
“Let the game come to you” is a philosophy from sports that we can all benefit from. It’s a cryptic way of letting someone know they’re trying too hard.
Not pursuing life doesn’t mean we don’t go after the things we want; we just don’t consider them necessary to feel complete.
You can find out more about the concept of “Enough” by viewing this video by Marisa Peer.
I feel I have written enough on this topic. Now it’s up to you to find out if it’s something you need to pursue.
All the best,
John
