Conundrum: The Measure Of A Person Is Their Depth, Which Can’t Be Measured - Grasshopper
We can measure the depth of a well and we can even measure the depth of any ocean, but a person’s depth, though easily recognized, is like attempting to measure infinity.
Think of a horizontal line . . . ________________________
Above the line is our conditioning; below the line is our depth. We attempt to change our conditioning by using different conditioning and that rarely works. When we go below conditioning, we access our depth which is the gold standard of reconditioning.
Because we can only see what we call depth displayed by a person but cannot actually see depth itself, we may assume depth doesn’t really exist, at least not for us. We may come to the conclusion that some people have access to deeper qualities but we don’t. That’s a myth that will have you look for more conditioning.
What is depth?
It’s the unlimited caldron of creativity and serenity that can’t be seen but is always underneath the surface bubbling over with the peaceful energy to power solutions, and is the cleansing power to wash away any stain of mental conditioning.
How deep are you? If you want to get into a comparative with someone else, you are measuring conditioning, not depth. Your depth can’t be measured. It’s unfathomable.
How deep can I go? In this case, the sky’s not the limit. That’s the wrong direction. You’ll only go as deep as you need to get to peace. You’ll also get answers. You’ll know you’ve reached the appropriate depth when unwanted conditioning begins to wash away. When accessing depth, you go below conditioning to the raw you - the person you were before you had any conditioning.
Anytime you are having a debate in your head, you are having a battle of conditioners. “My way is tangle free.” “Oh yea, my way means no more tears.” The one that wins out is too often a losing strategy.
When you want real solutions, go deep.
End the debate by quieting your mind. That’s when your depth bubbles up. Depth not only provides answers; it provides peace of mind.
Read this next sentence a few times and you’ll find the secret to depth: YOU ARE DEEPER THAN YOU THINK.
All the best,
