Your Guardian Angel Isn't Your Conscience - Grasshopper
Your conscience is conditioned; your angel is creative.
Just Google "angel pins" and you'll see there's more than a passing interest in a guardian force. People want reminders of that protective and guiding presence.
Confusion arises when we mistake our conditioning for our creative spirit. Many have their angel catalogued as the opposite of evil. Think of the classic angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other from cartoons and movies.
Your real angel isn't in opposition to anyone or anything. It's just a creative force that's available 24/7 for consultation and consolation.
Your angel won't argue with you; your conscience will.
Your conscience is a collection of all the programming you have received about good and bad. When your conditioning bumps into someone else's version of good/bad or right/wrong, debate ensues - often heated. The internal debates we have with ourselves are bloody wars with no winner.
When you have contact with your angel, there is no debate - just a quiet knowing that calms your mind and relaxes your body.
Your conscience always produces conflict.
Laws are made in an attempt to corral chaos. And with each generation we add nuance after nuance to these laws confusing even the brightest among us as to their "proper" implementation. There are cogent arguments on each side of an issue and we line up behind one ideological position and start swinging our sword in hopes of finding peace.
The good vs. evil battle will never be won as long as we continue to fight.
When you surrender, you find your guiding light towards peace. It's your angel leading the way and clearing a path towards serenity.
Your conscience keeps you on the battlefield.
This differentiation isn't carte blanch to do whatever feels good; it's more about finding the place that ends the debate. When you visit there, you always find enough musical chairs where no territory is fought for and no one is excluded.
Ask your angel to take you where he or she resides and truly find out how the other half lives.
All the best,
John
